Moments of Joy

day program Sue I’ve just spent 6 hours selecting art for the Exhibition scheduled for City Hall next January and February. This is not easy. So much art to choose from and all of it wonderful.

The first exhibition of its kind in Seattle, this is art that tells a rarely told story about living with Alzheimer’s. It’s never easy, but there are Moments of Joy—sometimes a lot, sometimes not so much—but joy nonetheless. This surprising, delightful and inspiring art invites us to share these moments—opening our hearts and minds to remarkable people. It creates a different way of thinking about dementia, enabling us to see that—while they have changed—they are still here, living with dignity, creativity and joy.

I’ll attached some of the art here. I hope it makes you want to see more. day program David J
